Today Google announced to the world that the newest version of the Android operating system that is aimed for new Android based tablets. It is to take on the iPad from Apple. This has the base of Android 2.2 (Froyo) and many of new updates. Honeycomb is strictly for Tablets and Gingerbread will be for smartphones only.
