Google has announced today that the Android Market is now accessible via a standard web browser.

Putting the Market online, one of the longest standing complaints against the Android Market and the Android app ecosystem as a whole. This will allow Google to grow it’s market share by allowing users to browse the apps from their computers and then installing them remotely. This move will Google to compete with Apple and their iTunes app store.

In addition to being able to browse and purchase apps from the Android Market website, users can also install applications directly to their device, no cords required.
