With all of the rumors with the new iphone running around, speculations are that the 4Gen iPhone will have some sort of video conferencing available on it. If it comes from iChat, Skype, or and other third party that is anyone’s guess at this time.  The iPhone that has surfaced on Gizmodo and Endgadget, did have a camera on the front of the device. It is located by the ear piece. Could the developer who lost his prototype have been testing the feasability of video calling? We have learned more about the Apple developer that lost the iPhone 4g prototype. His name is Gray Powell. He has been terminated from Apple for his loss of the prototype.

Steve Wozniak (Co-Founder of Apple)

Back to the future of the iPhone, I think that video conferencing should be left to computers with much better internet connections and suitable hardware. The only reason I say this is due to the fact that by adding more data streaming though the networks it will slow down all internet usage on the devices and phone call quality. Unless the network is superior. With Verizon not being able to stream data and voice at the same time, this could be a problem for their network. AT&T can do the voice and data at the same time, but are they really as good as they say they are?
